Colinton kitchen project

Designed by Gordon Greig

A light-painted British Shaker Beaded kitchen with style and elegance. The original kitchen was typically set out against the walls and lacked flair.

We re-designed the sink, hob, and bar space onto a flowing shaped Island, dramatically improving the whole room dynamic, for the ovens we designed these recessed into the original chimney area

A straight run incorporated the tall fridge / freezer and additional worksurface, a glorious & highly practical overall arrangement. Stunning ceiling canopies mirror the shape of the island for that absolute finishing touch

From our designer

“As a designer sometimes you just have to think differently, instead of planning cabinetry as usual on the outside walls I placed the majority of the kitchen in the centre of the room. A standard island wouldn’t work, but an L-shape with an interconnecting bar did – our client took one look at the proposal and didn’t change a thing. The finished result was superb and our client was absolutely thrilled with the transformation”
