Take a journey through
time with The KBB Company

Come along with us as we take a look back on 30 years in business.

1991

The early days . . . . Managing Director Gordon Greig founded our company in 1991 with assistance from the Princes Scottish Youth Business Trust. Originally trading as The Mirror Door Studio, both David Goodall & Steven Reynolds joined the business from the very start and the industrious team manufactured and designed sliding wardrobes from a small shop at the West Port in Edinburgh.

1993

Through the PSYBT our company won various awards and we were fortunate to meet HRH The Prince of Wales on several occasions at exhibitions and presentations. In the following few years the business grew at West Port and eventually a separate workshop was acquired in the Canonmills area of Edinburgh.

1996

By 1996 due to space and logistical restrictions a decision was made to consolidate all showroom and manufacturing space into one accessible premises so we took the bold step to relocate everything from the City and sourced the ideal location for expansion at Inveresk Industrial Estate here in Musselburgh, which is still our home today.

2016

Arriving at KBB House all that time ago and evolving into The Kitchen Bedroom Bathroom Company our business changed beyond recognition. We steadily expanded our premises to house our own administration and warehousing facility all here at KBB House.

2024

It’s 2024 and we’re all still here, with the addition of some excellent new designers and installers! This was the year we decided to stop selling bathrooms and focus solely on what we enjoy the most – kitchens and bedrooms! Shortening our name from The Kitchen Bedroom & Bathroom Company to simply, The KBB Company.
